- Beat the sugar with the butter and margarine to create a soft, fluffy mixture,
- While beating, slowly add the recipe's liquid ingredients,
- Add the flour along with the baking powder and continue beating,
- After adding the flour, make sure you don't beat the mixture for over 1-2 minutes
